The government under the Articles of Confederation is often portrayed as a failure that required "fixing" by the new Constitution.  Is this an accurate assessment?  Did the Confederation government enjoy any successes?  If so, what were they?  Given sufficient time and a few key changes, could the Articles of Confederation have succeeded? 

 

ASSIGNMENT

Select one specific population group within the United States at the time of the Revolution and describe how the Revolution changed, or failed to change, their way of life.  Were these changes gradual or immediate?
